Photo Challenge Wednesday - 12

What day is it???  HUMP DAY! ... and Wednesday which is Photo Challenge Day! :) Woop Woop!  It's kinda fun and confusing at the same time to post these in the middle of the week, but since the year started on Wednesday, I've kept the weeks in line with that date.

Wednesday, March 19, 2014:  Heading for H.O.M.E with a peaceful sunset.  Ya'll have seen this church several times, I think it's just a cute country church close to home.

                               

                   

                  

Thursday, March 20, 3014:  Wow, I didn't realize how snap-happy I was on Thursday.   :)   We were preparing for a Saturday election all week, with a steady stream of people coming into the office to vote.  I decided to Spring up the place with flowers. Also, it drew attention to our award - the office was voted Outstanding County of the Year by our state association.  :) YAY FOR US!

It was nice to see some Spring blooming - granted since then we've had another freeze so I probably damaged everything.  Pooh.  That night, Donna and I went to her local high school play, Grease, which was fabulous! Those kids do such a great job.  We always enjoy their plays.

       

Friday, March 21, 2014:  Sweet Niece #2 came by to visit while her mama voted absentee.  Katie was actually the last absentee voter! I can't even explain how much work goes on behind the scenes to hold even the smallest election... but it's alot.

                               

Saturday, March 22, 2014:  Election Day! Left the house at 5:45 a.m. and didn't get back until 10:15 p.m. So... it was just by luck I took this photo to send to my sister-in-law.  It's a very crappy photo of my scrapbook, which I was working on during the slower times of the Election.  :)   While I like the concept of Project Life, I've got to learn how to be more creative with it.

                     

                    

Sunday, March 23, 2014:  BOTH SWEET NIECES ARE HOME! WOOP WOOP! I so enjoy having time with both girls, they are just too sweet.  I sent this pic to AH's great-grandmother, in hopes to cheer her up (she lost her sister this past week. I can't imagine having a sister for 80+ years and losing her). Please say a prayer for her.

                             

Monday, March 24, 2014:  Thankfully, Spring is really beginning to show out! I love it! Blooms are on all the trees, the Yellow Belles are covered in blossoms, the rose bushes are pruned (thanks Mom!) and starting to show new growth - the world is waking up again.

           

Tuesday, March 25, 2014:  I know, you've seen this barn before, too, but I can't help it. I'm fascinated by it. I had to pull over on the side of the road and take a quick pic, the wind whipping my hair in a million directions.  Katie thought I was broken down with car trouble, only to realize I was just crazy to take photos in this cold windy weather.  But I finally got the shot I wanted. :)


So now it's Wednesday again and today's photo will show up next week.  I'm debating ordering some magnets of these more scenic photos from Sticky9.com especially since they have a buy 2 get one free deal.  But do I need 27 magnets of random photos?? Hmm... not too sure about that. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Awww, thanks Morgan Family!

I'm feeling very special this morning, because Leslie & Matt Morgan at Did You Hear About The Morgans chose me for their Liebster Award! :)  Many thanks, ya'll, I'm very honored.

I've had the Liebster Award twice before (read here and here) and it just tickles me pink because someone out there thinks I'm cool enough to share me with their peeps.  I'm glowing with happiness! :)

So Liebster, what is that?  Basically, in German, "Liebster" means kind, love, happy, friendly, - you know, just down right awesome.  I do have many blogs I follow but most have been nominated for this award or have more than 200 followers, which is one of the stipulations for the award (to have less than 200 followers).  I hate not to pay it forward, but know I still love ya'll. :)

SO, as part of the awesomness of the award, I should answer the 11 questions Leslie has asked of me! Drum roll please....

1. Favorite comfort food?  I never fix them for myself, but mom's pinto beans and cornbread always hits the spot.
2. Favorite movie of ALL TIME? Oh holy night. Maybe Animal House? :) 
3. Favorite hobby? Scrpabooking! 
4. If you had a full Saturday without any plans, What would you do? I usually spend those scrapping for my business.  OUtside of that, I shop with mom and visit with my sister and nieces.
5. #1 item on your bucket list? Yeah I don't have one of those. I need to make one.
6. Favorite memory of high school/college? Most of those days were good ones to me. A million friends all in one spot from 8 - 8 (due to band practice) what's not to love?
7. Favorite dessert? Tiramasu
8. Current favorite TV show?  Big Brother! Bachelorette! and NCIS OH And DOWNTON ABBEY!!!
9. Favorite ice cream flavor? Mint chocolate chip maybe?
10. Favorite Vacation Spot?  I don't think I've found it yet. :)  I usually do the beach, love the mountains... but I think there is a perfect spot I haven't discovered yet. 
11. Favorite Restaurant?  The Clock in Gaffney.

I just got in from Alabama where I visited my friend, Sherry! Awesome trip, I miss her so much. I wish she lived closer, I'd love to do dinner with her and catch up in person.She's solid, down-to-earth, honest and real. Good people.

I know, I'm so incredibly behind in my blogging. I would stay late at work just to schedule ahead those days I always blog in order not to miss a day, but I haven't done much in the way of BLOGGING until this week. 

So, I'm late in doing this, but not because I wasn't completely honored and flattered.  

Folks, I have been nominated for an award!! I know, I never expected it and I'm totally touched!  Laura over at Mice in the Kitchen chose ME for this award! The Liebster Award!  Copied from Laura, "The Liebster award is given by fellow bloggers to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers.
The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome."  Wow. This is so awesome. 

SO - I have to tell 11 things about myself. Answer the 11 items given by Laura for me to answer. Then nominate other blogs and give them a list of 11 things to answer.  And so it goes forward. 
Here are my 11 items that you may/may not know about me: 

• I'm a music junkie. I always have a song or a jingle of some sort playing in my head. Always. 
• As a child, I wanted to look Asian and asked my mom if I could have surgery on my eyes to make them more Asian-like and dye my hair black. Mom wasn't digging it. 
• I have white spots on my two front teeth, which show up in most pictures. People used to ask about them when I was younger but now people are too PC to ask. The only thing we can figure is the meds from my ear infections as a kid impacted my teeth. 
• Each day I get older, my patience gets shorter. I try to off-set it and stop before I make sarcastic comments, but I don't always succeed.
• I think pug noses are cute on people. 
• I'm searching for a rich man to marry me so I could work part-time and spend the rest of my time doing crafty creative things... 
• I doodle. A lot. 
• Thank you notes are a must.  Seriously. I believe in them firmly. 
• Going home to a quiet peaceful, semi-clean house is wonderful to me. I do regret that I never had children, but the serenity in my home makes me very happy. 
• Not that I don't want to get married one day. I would love to, but only to the right guy. I'm not into making mistakes because I don't want to be alone. I'd choose being on my own over being with the wrong guy. 
• I took a leap of faith this year and decided to start selling my scrapbooks on Etsy.  The name of the online storefront is "Pressed Clovers" and I love giving people a way to preserve memories.  You can visit it at http://www.etsy.com/shop/PressedClovers.

* If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be and why?   Probably potatoes.  I love them. I've been known to eat four types of potatoes in one meal. :) 
* What is your biggest pet peeve?   Oh my gosh, I have so many. People who interrupt me. How rude!
* If you could live anywhere in the whole world where would it be?   Right where I am, in the middle of family. I love my house and I love my neighbors (haha!)
* Describe yourself using 3 words.   Friendly     Talkative     Genuine
* Who was your childhood hero?   My grandmother - and she still is, even though she's passed. 
* What did you want to be when you were growing up?   A teacher, but that didn't work out for me.
